Break From Bush Day
I know I've been a bit heavy on the Bush-bashing banter lately, so I'm going to take a break today. It's not that he doesn't deserve it, it's just that I'd rather write about something else, like:

1.Ben Hoekstra has a blog now, and it's weirder than he is. I mean that in the best possible way.

2. Check out the size of this friggin' coyote! Actually, as it turns out, it's just a wolf-dog. Still, you gotta admit that it's gi-normous.

3. Before the sun came out today, I was in a Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, aka Will Oldham mood. If you haven't heard 'im, get to your local indie music retailer on the double. It's brooding, ethereal, twangless country music - the kinda stuff that Tim Burton listens to while he does his laundry, I'm sure. Check out the cover of his latest full-length - "Master and Everyone" - dude has issues.

4. This week started out pretty crappy - I found out first thing Monday morning that I won't be going to Duke University in the fall. Guh. Lucky for me, the stalwart online McSweeney's has been the anodyne I need. You want funny? Check out the hilarity of this analysis of the 'Batman' theme song. Still need more funny? Check out the reviews of new food. Ah heck, just check out the whole site.
