Tactless use of scripture #456,246,234,123,654,324:

Tom Delay, that paragon of intellect and virtue, decided to read Matthew 7 at a Congressional prayer breakfast, in the wake of the Tsunami disaster. Matthew 7 contains this passage:

"Everyone who listens to these words of mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man, who built his house on a rock:
The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew, and buffeted the house, but it did not collapse; it has been set solidly on rock.
And everyone who listens to these words of mine, but does not act on them, will be like a fool who built his house on sand:
The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew, and buffeted the house, and it collapsed and was completely ruined."

I hope to God that this was oversight on Delay's part, but I'm not so confident that it was.

In other news, Peter Bratt has a blog, guaranteed to rock your brain. I've got the link posted on the left side of this page (appropriate, eh Peter?).
