Left and Leaving

I think I've half-assed it long enough. This blog has descended past mediocrity into the realm of the banal and I think I'll stop the hemorrhage of quality by quitting.

Not forever, just for now and the immediate future.

I'll be in Russia this summer, and I'll post some things while I'm over there, if I have access to the internet. Check back around the month of June.

Awww man, that sucks! Be safe in Russia.

Ciao bello!

Blogs are supposed to be half-assed. I usually think of mine as just raw thoughts, or like a mass e-mail. If you don't feel like posting for a while, no one will hold it against you, but don't worry about the quality or lack of. We're pretty forgiving in the blog community. Just post whenever and whatever you feel like. Save your serious writing for school or some other venue

I'm with Swags, though if you don't have time/desire to post don't post. Just don't not post out of a desire to not disappoint, or something.

If you're 'half-assing' it, what AM I DOING? I'm not exactly pulling three-sixties in the 80mph zone! I mean, I'm not the 'verbal stunt pilot' I'd like to be (that comes from J.D.Salinger). More like a mire of flatulence on a grounded garbage barge, stuck on the Illinois river near Joliet! Don't even think you can beat me for a crap ribbon, bro!

On another note, I've been having a hell of 'dry' period when it comes to writing. I'm thinking of posting only when I really have the 'magics' to say something. Less often, higher quality, or something like that. I guess I'm not a dailies guy. But maybe the demand to post often is too much, and once a month is more natural - or something. Dunno. Hope you keep putting down thoughts though. Don't sell yourself short for 'originality'. And don't (for our sake) let the Calvin attitude ('you'll never be as good as such and such') short your circuits. Peace.

The "Calvin attitude" is the scourge of all who think different and have original voices. It seems you can only thrive at Calvin if you repeat after others and keep your opinions to yourself... But then that is my opinion and that of those Miamians who have fled this place.
