Seasonable.
Function: adjective
1 : suitable to the season or circumstances : TIMELY
2 : occurring in good or proper time : APROPOS

Spring is the season for the senses. Wild things bloom, buzz and sing.

The other night Greg called and said there were "swans yelling at him" in a park somewhere in Sacramento.
I'd sooner be berated by a swan than deal with the exhaust fumes and jittery rhythms of radial tires that accompany my walk down Burton. I can hardly hear spring down that street,

so I press on, ears corked with headphones, slightly annoyed.

but all of a sudden (thanks to Sony, Apple, and excessive audio compression), my ears catch this line:

"Late breaking story on the CBC
a nation whispers 'we always knew that he'd go free'

they add, 'you can't be fond of living in the past'

'cause if you are, then there's no way that you're gonna last'"

Apropos of so many things right now.

Welcome back to the blogging world. You have been missed.

Yes, let's hear it for the Tragically Hip. I love the description of swans yelling at someone; the thought of it produces pure hilarity in the imagination.

Good to see a new post, too. You should really write more.

Nice!

Good words. When I find myself wandering down a road that has no sensual stimulation from nature I find Bono's voice... Walk on.
