Санкт-Петербург Dispatch #3

Back in Petersburg/feeling pretty confident. The Metro map isn't so intimidating here, and I've learned enough Russian to get lost and found again.

Petersburg is an artsy-fartsy Washington DC. The District with a facial and pedicure - pretty but just a patina. Moscow is New York with its belt undone and gut hanging out. There's 15 million people spread across hundreds of kilometers. Half the city leaves for the countryside in the summer, leaving 8 million or so behind. Last week, 11 kids showed up at our camp.

Is this a non-sequitur, or a truth about evangelism?: The church grows slowly, across centuries.

Less than two weeks to go.

hope your taking lots of pictures to show the rest of us when you get back
